although via had been targeted as an early culprit, the problems have apparently been reproduced on boards with other brand chipsets, windows and linux, and also with ati's newest drivers. check my blog I never would have thought to try that if I hadn't seen your post. I found a solution, that has worked for me and a bunch of other people who have tested it for me. someone help. Minitoolbox
