It's like small horizontal dashes flickering on & off. I dont understand why though. This guide covers how to restore the desktop (panel and launcher), but the guide doesn't fix my problem though. The directions they give to take out the old driver don't work. here

Bothing else. I was (and still am) having the problem that the highest screen resolution I can get is 800x600, which is way too large and fuzzy for me. Battery life in Windows 7 64-bit is almost 6 hours, but in Ubuntu Natty 64-bit it is only 3:15. hehe.
